Hiker Found Dead In ND National Park

Officials say a hiker from Virginia was found dead Wednesday at Theodore Roosevelt National Park in western North Dakota.

 

 

 

 

 BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Officials say a hiker from Virginia was found dead Wednesday at Theodore Roosevelt National Park in western North Dakota.

The National Park Service says searchers located the body of 48-year-old Dan Olszewski of Midlothian, Virginia late Wednesday afternoon.

Agency spokeswoman Eileen Andes says an autopsy will be performed to determine cause of death.

Officials say Olszewski went hiking in the park on Sunday morning.

He was reported missing by his employer Monday morning.

The agency says Olszewski was from Virginia but had been in North Dakota working.
