N.D. Oil Patch Bridge To Be Closed At Night

North Dakota transportation officials say U.S. Highway 85 about 14 miles south of Watford City will be closed to all traffic during nighttime hours starting on Monday.

 

 

 

 

WATFORD CITY, N.D. (AP) - North Dakota transportation officials say U.S. Highway 85 about 14 miles south of Watford City will be closed to all traffic during nighttime hours starting on Monday.
 
The closure from the hours of 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Central time will enable crews to complete repairs to the Long X Bridge. The work is expected to last about 10 days. Traffic will be rerouted.
 
Highway 85 is a major north-south route in the North Dakota oil patch.

The bridge was damaged March 18th when it was struck by a truck load that was too high.
