The Moorhead School Board decided at a meeting Tuesday night to add more time to the day and trim the bus budget. The change will result in different start and end times for many Moorhead students next year.
Elementary school students will start at 7:55 a.m. next fall and end their day at 2:40 p.m. Middle school students will go from 9:05 a.m. to 3:50 p.m. School times for high school kids will stay the same, 8:25 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The new schedule will add 15 minutes of class time to the day for all students.
The board said the changes will save $325,000 in transportation costs by cutting six and a half bus routes.
