The Salvation Army is reaching out to disadvantaged children in Fargo this summer with its mobile meals program.
The program provides hot and healthy meals to kids. It works to feed students who receive free or reduced lunches only during the school year.
The Salvation Army's Tai Clark says it feels good to serve free meals.
"It's really a blessing to be able to provide that for them," said Clark. "We see some kids who come out and they're bringing their two and 1-year-old brothers and sisters with them. It's just humbling to think about how much a hot meal means to a family."
The lunch-time program runs Monday through Friday at Madison Park, Charism McCormick Park, and at McKinley Elementary School.
