A top U.S. Department of Energy official says North Dakota could be a model for national energy policy.
Deputy Laboratory Director for Science and Technology, Dr. Dana Christensen, says North Dakota’s energy policy is inclusive. According to Christensen, the federal government could take a cue from what the state is doing.
"When you look at North Dakota, you can see how the energy policy coupled together with the industry in the state, and in fact renewing and bringing forward new energies in the state, it's a great template, it's a great blueprint of how we might be able to do this on the national scale," said Christensen.
Christensen spoke at the Renewable Fuels Action Summit held in Bismarck.
