Soaking rains have dampened the wildfire danger in much of Minnesota. But holiday visitors are urged to be especially careful with fire in two sections of the state.

"Way up in the northwest is our main concern, Warroad, Baudette," said Carson Berglund from the Interagency Fire Center. "A little bit south and east of the Twin City area still has some dry conditions, although that's greened up considerably."

Berglund said brush and other vegetation can dry out quickly and become fuel for wildfires.
