A woman driving a car that collided with a semitruck on Interstate 94 east of Moorhead has been hospitalized in Fargo with serious injuries.
The Minnesota State Patrol said 58-year-old Roberta Haspel of Barnesville was eastbound on Interstate 94 in a construction zone near the Buffalo River bridge on Friday when her car crossed into the westbound lane and collided head-on with a semi driven by 65-year-old Gary Sather of Bismarck.
Sather was not seriously injured.
The semitruck ended up in the median and the cab burned.
The crash caused major traffic tie-up's and shut down parts of the interstate for hours while traffic was re-routed.
