Potato Flakes Spill On Interstate 94 During Crash

Potato flakes spilled onto Interstate 94 near Alexandria, Minn. Thursday afternoon after two semi trucks collided.

 

 

 

 

Potato flakes spilled onto Interstate 94 near Alexandria, Minn. Thursday afternoon after two semi trucks collided.

Eastbound traffic ground to a halt at approximately 4 p.m. as the Minnesota State Patrol investigated and the Minnesota Department of Transportation crews cleaned up the mess.

Troopers said the first semi truck had mechanical issues and was moving slow when it was rear-ended by another going at freeway speed.

One driver had to be cut out of the wreckage. His injuries were not life-threatening.
