The boards of the North Dakota Winter Show and Valley City Area Chamber of Commerce have voted to consolidate the two organizations.
The organizations will maintain separate boards, budgets and committee structures but the staffs will be combined.
Tim Ost, President of the Winter Show Board, is looking forward to the merger.
"We're extremely excited about the merger between the two organizations, not only cost-wise but I think it's really going to get the North Dakota Winter Show more involved and a little more tightly-knit with the community," said Ost.
Dawn Riley will become the Executive Vice President of the Chamber and the manager of the Winter Show.
The agreement, which takes effect July 1, will be reviewed in one year.
