The attorney for UND nickname supporters said he hopes voters are not swayed by polls and arguments that keeping the logo will hurt the university.

Reed Soderstrom of the Committee for Understanding and Respect said his group will spend the remaining weeks of the campaign trying to overcome the so-called fear factor in keeping the name.

"We're tired, but I hope people continue to say and do what is right," said Soderstrom. "We're standing up to the bully, the big, rich bully that's forcing its will upon our state."

Soderstrom said it boils down to the NCAA not understanding the values of North Dakota and the values and issues of the Sioux people.

Measure 4 on the June 12th ballot will decide whether UND can retire the moniker which the NCAA considers hostile and abusive.
