The University of North Dakota's football field is receiving a $4 million facelift inside the Alerus Center in Grand Forks.
Crews are increasing the size of the old turf storage pit to be able to hold the new turf. After completion, the field should feel better for players, cut turf prep time in half and reduce the number of people needed to set up for game day.
Construction is scheduled to end by August 24th, in time to host UND's first home football game.
