BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. (AP) - Police in a Twin Cities suburb say an officer fatally shot a man who was carrying a rifle and walking down the middle of the street.
Brooklyn Center Police Chief Kevin Benner says officers were called to the scene about 8:30 p.m. Thursday. He says the first officer on the scene was "forced to shoot the suspect," who died at the scene. Benner provided no specific details.
A group of about 60 neighbors gathered at the scene of the shooting.
