The Great Plains Food Bank, along with John Deere Electronic Solutions and the United Way, are providing a way for hundreds of kids in Fargo to receive meals this summer. Through the new program, each bag will be filled with six to seven meals.

The Food Bank's Melissa Sobolik said the meals will go out to 500 kids each week for 12 weeks.

"It's a very, very exciting program," said Sobolik. "We're so thrilled that children will not be going hungry over the summer."

John Deere employees helped launch the program by organizing hundreds of bags for hungry children. They will be volunteering their time over the summer to help pack the bags.
