Voters head to the polls across North Dakota on Tuesday to decide several key races, including a primary contest for the U.S. House of Representatives.
Cass County Auditor Mike Montplaisir said would not be surprised if 30,000 voters turn out.
"There's a lot of controversial measures on the ballot, and then there's a lot of candidates," said Montplaisir. "This isn't just the primary election, this is the general election for the city and school and both in Fargo and West Fargo we've a lot of good candidates in those races. The county it's a primary election and we have a lot of county commissioner hopefuls on the ballot, more than we've ever had in the past, so that's interesting and exciting."
Nearly 6,100 people used the early voting option in the county. Two years ago, about 2,100 people voted ahead of the primary at an early voting site.
