Man Who Attempted To Rape Parole Officer Sentenced

A Detroit Lakes, Minn. man was sentenced Monday to six years in prison for trying to rape a parole officer earlier this year.

A Detroit Lakes, Minn. man was sentenced Monday to six years in prison for trying to rape a parole officer earlier this year.


Jonathon Wieland, 22, attempted to sexually assault a female parole officer in January.


In court, the parole officer said she is not angry with Wieland, whom she describes as a "very sick man."


Wieland had just been released from prison when the attempted rape took place.
