The Humane Society of Fargo-Moorhead has been selected as a nonprofit finalist in Toyota’s "100 Cars for Good" program.
Through the program, cars will be given to 100 different organizations over the course of 100 days.
Each day, the program will profile five finalists on their website (www.100carsforgood.com). Members of the public can then vote for the organization they think can do the most good with a new vehicle. The nonprofit that receives the most votes at the end of each day will win a new Toyota vehicle.
The Humane Society is vying for a Toyota Sienna minivan they would use to transport rescued animals and shelter supplies.
"Everyone at Human Society Fargo-Moorhead is thrilled to have been selected as a finalist for the 2012 100 Cars for Good program," said Nukhet Hendricks, Executive Director of the Humane Society. "We’re grateful for this opportunity to showcase our shelter and our mission and hopefully win a car to help us increase our impact in Fargo-Moorhead."
Members of the public can vote on behalf of the Humane Society on Saturday, June 9th.
