WEST FARGO, N.D. (AP) - An 11-year-old message from a Kindred seventh-grade class finally found its first readers last weekend.
Two fishermen found the note on the shores of the Sheyenne River in West Fargo. It was in a plastic bottle that washed up next to a dock.
It was signed by five members of a Kindred seventh-grade geography class in 2001.
The note asked the finder to write a letter to the Kindred school and describe the circumstances under which the bottle was found.
The bottle included a 34-cent stamp, which is a little short of today's 45-cent price for first-class postage.
Fisherman Gary Hanson said he will reply to the note.
