BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Bismarck police cited two teenage boys for breaking into a vehicle after one of the boys' mother turned in a handgun she found in her son's dresser.
Police say a woman brought a handgun to the police department Tuesday night.
The woman's 13-year-old son told officers that he and a 14-year-old boy saw the gun in a center console of an unlocked vehicle.
Police say the boys contradicted each other on who actually took the gun.
Police say the gun had not been reported stolen, and officers have not found its owner.
