Woman Drowns In Maple Lake

A 55-year-old Beltrami, Minn. woman has drowned while boating with friends on Maple Lake, near Mentor, in northwestern Minnesota.

A 55-year-old Beltrami, Minn. woman has drowned while boating with friends on Maple Lake, near Mentor, in northwestern Minnesota.


Investigators say Cindy Hanson jumped off a pontoon early Sunday morning and disappeared.


Her body was recovered about an hour later. Attempts to resuscitate her were not successful.


An autopsy is being done to determine an exact cause of death.
