ND Airport Booms With Oil Activity

Officials say Williston's airport is bursting at the seams because of activity in western North Dakota's booming oil patch.

 

 

 

 

WILLSTON, N.D. (AP) - Officials say Williston's airport is bursting at the seams because of activity in western North Dakota's booming oil patch.

Airport manager Steven Kjergaard says the increased number of passengers at the airport has led to a crowded terminal and lack of parking.

Williston's Sloulin Field International Airport is becoming one of the busiest in the state because of the oil activity and airlines are increasing service.

Kjergaard says the airport has not seen any delays over an hour since Delta Air Lines and United Airlines added flights late last year.
