Fire Kills Livestock Near Hawley

An early morning fire in Clay County has destroyed a barn and killed a number of livestock.

An early morning fire in Clay County has destroyed a barn and killed a number of livestock.

The fire was reported around 3:30 at the farm northwest of Hawley.


A Clay County deputy on the scene tells KFGO News the owners were able to save some of the cows and calves from the structure that was fully involved.


Assisting Hawley are fire departments from Dilworth, Ulen and Hitterdal.
