Moorhead's police chief does not believe that an error found on warning stickers during the city's first snow emergency caused additional vehicles to be towed.
Some of the stickers mistakenly warned drivers not to park on the south side of streets or the west side of avenues. Chief Dave Ebinger says the warning should have said to avoid the south side of avenues and west side of streets.
About 130 vehicles were towed from the MSUM and Concordia College areas. Ebinger is urging all affected students and residents to sign up for automatic alerts to avoid future problems.
Ebinger says the sticker error was an honest mistake.
