American Airlines is expanding its flight schedule in Fargo. The airline will add daily round trip service to Dallas-Fort Worth. The service begins Feb. 14, 2013.
American, through its feeder airline American Eagle, will use 50 passenger jets.
Hector Airport Authority Chairman Don Kilander says the route should greatly benefit business travelers since Dallas-Fort Worth is one of American's five major hubs. American serves 170 destinations worldwide.
The airline already offers flights between Fargo and Chicago.
A $750,000 Federal Department of Transportation grant and $300,000 worth of incentives from the FM Convention and Visitors bureau, Economic Development Corporation and the Chamber of Commerce helped convince American to add the route.
