Arizona Deputy Arrested In West Fargo Attack

A sheriff's deputy from Arizona is accused of assaulting a West Fargo man in September.

Jason Swart, 41, was attacked in his driveway. Swart lost part of his ear in the attack and also suffered serious cuts and bruises to his face.

Police say the injuries were consistent with multiple strikes from some type of weapon.

Detective Timothy Abrahamson of the Maricopa County Sheriff's Department is facing an aggravated assault charge.

Police believe he drove to West Fargo to attack Swart for having an affair with his wife.

Another deputy who drove to West Fargo with Abrahamson will not be charged if he testifies in the case.
