Heads up!

A major winter storm could impact our region late Thursday night into early Saturday.

Snow is expected to develop over the Devils Lake Basin Thursday night and continue into Friday night.

There is the potential for significant freezing rain and ice over west-central Minnesota, from near Elbow Lake, north to Bemidji.

Up to six-inches of snow, perhaps more, could fall along and north of a line from Valley City to Grand Forks to Roseau Friday into Saturday.

The exact track isn't certain.

Winds will also pick up, dropping windchills to 25 below.

The northern Red River Valley and Devils Lake basin could see near blizzard conditions Friday, with winds gusting over 30mph.
