A district court judge from Moorhead is working to establish a special court for veterans in Clay County.
Judge Lisa Borgen tells KFGO News that the court would coordinate veterans' services from outside agencies and keep a close watch on individual cases. Borgen says veterans would still be held accountable for their actions.
A small grant will help cover the cost of a training trip to Oklahoma, but more money is being sought from outside groups like the American Legion and the VFW. Borgen is optimistic that the court could be established by the fall.
