Moorhead Mayor Mark Voxland calls it the last piece of the 34th Street Cooridor project. Voxland and other officials were on hand for the opening of the newly rebuilt I-94/Highway 52 ramps Tuesday.

The mayor says it took 20 years to get it done. The work includes the BNSF overpass, interchange work and street improvements along the 34th Street cooridor at a cost of $45 million.

The funding came from state, federal and local sources. Local leaders say it's money well spent. The improvements are expected to drive new development along the cooridor and improve access to a number of businesses and traffic safety.
