The search is on for a driver involved in a series of hit and run crashes in Fargo who then fled a traffic stop in Dilworth this morning.
A police officer saw the man sideswipe a number of vehicles in the parking lot of the Hub just before 2:00 this morning, but the driver managed to drive off before he could be stopped.
A short time later, police pulled the car over on the northwest side of Dilworth on a tail light violation.
The officer got suspicious when he noticed damage to the passenger side of the car.
The driver ran away on foot and managed to slip through a perimeter set up by police.
Police Chief Josh Ebert says the Dilworth man faces a number of charges, including dui, driving after revocation, fleeing in Dilworth and marijuana possession.
He's also facing charges in Fargo for leaving the scene of an accident.
