North Dakota senators and superintendents are joining forces to increase security at schools.
A recently introduced bill would allocate 10 million dollars in state funds for schools to apply preventative design and improve infrastructure.
Many older schools were not designed with the ability to be locked down.
The bill is currently in the senate education committee.
