Man Dies In Collision With Ambulance In South Dakota

The South Dakota Highway Patrol says 45-year-old Lynnard Spiry Jr. died late Sunday afternoon when the pickup truck he was riding in slid out of control and into the path of the ambulance on U.S. Highway 12 east of Mobridge.

 

 

 

 

MOBRIDGE, S.D. (AP) -A Mobridge man is dead after a crash involving an ambulance.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol says 45-year-old Lynnard Spiry Jr. died late Sunday afternoon when the pickup truck he was riding in slid out of control and into the path of the ambulance on U.S. Highway 12 east of Mobridge.

Authorities say the ambulance was returning from a transport and was not carrying patients. The driver and a passenger suffered minor injuries, as did the driver of the pickup.
