If you're an Xcel Energy customer in North Dakota, your electric rates are going up.
The public service commission has okayed an interim rate increase. It adds up to nearly $15-million. Xcel is asking for a permanent rate increase that amounts to $16-million.
The temporary rate increase will cost a typical residential customer another $5.64 a month.
