The North Dakota Judicial Conduct Commission has filed a formal complaint against a district court judge from Fargo.
Documents obtained by KFGO News allege that Judge Wickham Corwin violated the North Dakota Code of Judicial Conduct.
The charges stem from allegations that Corwin created a hostile work environment by suggesting an extra-marital affair with a courthouse employee.
Corwin is accused of violating conduct codes that require judges to promote public confidence and integrity.
He's also accused of violating a code that says non-work related activities should not "demean the office".
Corwin calls the complaints an "unbelievable misunderstanding", and has filed a response asking that the charges to be dismissed.
The Judicial Conduct Commission is planning a public hearing.
If found guilty, Corwin could face sanctions ranging from censure, to removal, or disbarment.
