There are fewer turkey's trotting around North Fargo. A trapping campaign by the North Dakota Game & Fish Department and Police has wrapped up. More than 100 turkeys were caught and relocated to wildlife management area's outside of Fargo. Homeowners complained the flocks messed up yards and caused a traffic hazard. Game & Fish Biologist Rodd Compton says sites were baited and large nets were used to catch the turkeys.

Most of the turkeys were taken in the Peterson Parkway neighborhood. Others were caught around Hector International Airport and in Highland Park.

It's the largest turkey trapping Game & Fish has conducted in Eastern North Dakota.
