A man whose mother died in 2008 during a major salmonella outbreak caused by tainted peanut butter says he finally feels like there might be some justice.

Four company officials at Georgia based "Peanut Corporation of America" have been indicted by a federal grand jury.

Shirley Almer of Perham was 72 years old when she died.

For the last four years her son, Jeff Almer, has been fighting for justice.

Almer has been pushing for stricter food safety laws and the prosecution of those responsible.

He met with U.S. senators, FBI agents, and lobbied for food safety reform in committees that typically did not allow outsiders.

He says he doesn't feel closure from his mother's death quite yet.

More than 700 people were infected by salmonella during that outbreak in 2008 and 2009.
