BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - A Bismarck woman accused of allowing her 15-year-old daughter to drink alcohol to the point of passing out has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge and been sentenced to probation.
Thirty-three year-old Janelle Guy pleaded guilty to contributing to the deprivation of minors, and authorities dropped a felony child abuse or neglect charge. Guy was given credit for 27 days served in jail and ordered to pay $350 in court fees.
Guy was accused of allowing several teenagers to drink in her apartment last October. She stood trial last month but a jury failed to reach a verdict and the judge declared a mistrial.
