WASHINGTON – N.D. Senator John Hoeven presented S.D. Senator John Thune with an NDSU Bison jersey following the team’s victory over the South Dakota State University Jackrabbits during the Dakota Marker Game.
Senators Hoeven and Thune made a friendly wager on the outcome of the football game, with Hoeven agreeing to wear an SDSU Jackrabbits jersey in the event of a Bison loss, and Thune wearing an NDSU Bison jersey if South Dakota State lost.
Hoeven and Thune often work together on legislative issues; both serve as members of the Senate Agriculture, Nutrition & Forestry Committee.
"Seeing Senator Thune sport Bison Green and Gold around Capitol Hill is quite a sight, and I want to thank him for making our team colors look so good and participating in this friendly wager," Hoeven said.
