Stenehjem: ND Crime Rate Appears To Be Rising

Stenehjem is waiting for official reports to be compiled from local law enforcement agencies. He plans to give lawmakers an update when they return to Bismarck next week.

 

 

 

 

There are indications that North Dakota's crime rate is on the rise.

Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem says he hasn't yet compiled the numbers, but he tells KFGO News that the number of crimes appear to be outpacing the population growth.

The trend includes aggravated assaults--which have been on the rise for the past ten years.
