STANTON, N.D. (AP) - A Bismarck-based contracting company with ties to North Dakota's coal industry plans to buy the old school in Stanton and remodel it into a hotel for its workers and the public.

Industrial Contractors Inc. spokesman Jeff Hammes says the company will acquire the building by the end of the month and finish the remodeling by spring.

The company hires hundreds of workers including boilermakers, electricians, pipefitters and welders to work maintenance at power plants in the region.

Stanton Mayor Ron Boyko says he hopes the 157-bed hotel will boost other businesses in town
