Residents in Pleasant Township south of Fargo are so unhappy with plans to divert the Red River that they're asking voters next Tuesday to let them secede from Cass County.

 

 

 

 

Hickson, N.D. (AP) - Residents in Pleasant Township south of Fargo are so unhappy with plans to divert the Red River that they're asking voters next Tuesday to let them secede from Cass County.

If approved, the measure would mean that nearly 500 people would be annexed into Richland County.

The measure would have to pass in Cass and Richland counties for annexation to become reality.
