Minnesota Man Pleads Guilty To Sex Crime

A Clearbrook, Minnesota man will spend just six months in jail after pleading guilty to sexual crimes with a girl beginning when she was younger than seven.

 

 

 

 

A Clearbrook, Minnesota man will spend just six months in jail after pleading guilty to sexual crimes with a girl beginning when she was younger than seven.

61 year old Rodney Erickson was found guilty of second-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Because Erickson is the brother of Clearwater County Sheriff Mike Erickson, the case was prosecuted by Beltrami County prosecutors.

The victim said Erickson had babysat her and her siblings and from her earliest memories had sexually molested and assaulted her, despite her efforts to avoid him.

Claims of similar sexual crimes by Erickson were investigated several times going back to 1998, but never resulted in criminal charges.

Erickson must also serve 25 years probation.
