MENDOTA HEIGHTS, Minn. (AP) - Hospital officials are releasing no new information about a fired Minnesota Senate aide critically injured in a highway crash near St. Paul.
Thirty-eight-year-old Michael Brodkorb was taken to Regions Hospital after his car crashed Wednesday night.
A Regions spokeswoman confirms Brodkorb was being treated Thursday, but says the family has asked that no information be released.
State Patrol spokesman Lieutenant Eric Roeske says Brodkorb's injuries were non-life-threatening as of Wednesday night.
Roeske says the patrol has received no updated information and does not expect anything further.
Brodkorb was an aide to Senate Republicans and filed a lawsuit last year after he was fired over his affair with then-Senate Majority Leader Amy Koch.
Brodkorb alleges he was a victim of discrimination because of his gender and had his personal privacy violated.
