Grand Forks, N.D. (AP) The University of North Dakota hockey team is back home in Grand Forks, after being stranded in South Dakota over the weekend because of a blizzard.
The team was traveling back from Omaha, Neb., and was forced to stop at a truck stop near the northeastern South Dakota town of Summit early Sunday. The team spent the rest of the night on the bus, then checked into a hotel in Sisseton later in the day.
Assistant Athletic Director Jayson Hajdu says the team left Sisseton about 2:30 p.m. Monday and arrived home about 6 p.m.
