DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) - Authorities searching for a man who went missing from a work site in southwestern North Dakota enlisted the help of dogs but didn't have success.

Dickinson police say dogs from South Dakota-based Dakota Territory Search Dogs were brought in Tuesday as authorities continued to look for 30-year-old Eric Haider of Bismarck. He was last seen Thursday at a Dickinson-area construction site where he had been working with a plumbing company.

Authorities on Tuesday also excavated sites at the work area where trenches or pits were filled the day Haider disappeared.

Family members say Haider didn't have a car and left his belongings at work last Thursday.

Friends have started a Facebook page to share news about the search. It has more than 9,000 members.
