Dakota Zoo Welcomes Four Grizzly Bear Cubs

Four grizzly bear cubs from Montana are calling the Dakota Zoo in Bismarck their new home.

 

 

 

 

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Four grizzly bear cubs from Montana are calling the Dakota Zoo in Bismarck their new home.

Zoo officials tell the Bismarck Tribune that the bears were orphaned after their mothers had to be killed.

The cubs are about 10 to 11 months old. They each weigh 130 to 140 pounds. Full-grown grizzlies can weigh as much as 900 pounds.
