WASHINGTON (AP) - Mitt Romney's presidential campaign says it will release a summary of his and running mate Paul Ryan's health records.
The campaign said Friday it would post letters from the two candidates' physicians describing their medical statuses. Friday's release comes at the same time the campaign is putting out Romney's 2011 tax returns, which have become a political headache for the wealthy retired business executive and were likely to overshadow the medical reports.
Presidential and vice presidential candidates routinely release summaries of their medical standing and the White House releases results from President Barack Obama's annual physical.
