Mondale: Voters Are Witnessing A 'Real Horse Race'

He tells KFGO News the race is so close, he wouldn't be surprised if the winner walks away without collecting the highest number of popular votes.

Former Vice-President Walter Mondale is describing the contest between President Obama and Republican Mitt Romney as a "real horse race."

Mondale says the president turned in a strong performance during last night's debate. But he tells KFGO News the race is so close, he wouldn't be surprised if the winner walks away without collecting the highest number of popular votes.

Mondale also says because of 24-hour cable TV and the internet, the election's outcome could be swayed by the events of a single day. He says news about any mistake or personal attack can be seen "in a millisecond."
