Group Spending $500K On Anti-Obama Ads In Minn.

A new round of television advertising criticizing President Barack Obama over the federal debt is airing on stations in the usual swing states -- and Minnesota, too.

 

 

 

 

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - A new round of television advertising criticizing President Barack Obama over the federal debt is airing on stations in the usual swing states -- and Minnesota, too.

The state isn't considered one of those Obama and Republican nominee-to-be Mitt Romney will concentrate on. But Americans for Prosperity has included Minnesota in an 11-state, $6.7 million ad buy that begins Wednesday.

A spokesman for the group says it will spend $500,000 in Minnesota to run the ad for a week. The group also aired ads in Minnesota earlier this summer.

The new ad uses footage of a rising debt meter and Obama remarks about turning around the country.

Americans for Prosperity was formed by the conservative billionaire brothers Charles and David Koch.
