BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - North Dakota Republican U.S. Senate candidate Rick Berg is scheduled to get a few minutes in the spotlight at the Republican National Convention.
Berg is supposed to deliver a two- to-three minute speech from the convention stage Tuesday afternoon.
He's one of a number of scheduled speakers.
Berg says his talk will contrast North Dakota's prosperity with what he calls the failed economic record of Democratic President Barack Obama.
Berg says he rehearsed his speech Monday, and he's excited by the chance to "brag North Dakota up a little bit."
The start of the convention in Tampa, Florida, was delayed by Tropical Storm Isaac.
Berg says the storm has caused some heavy rain and wind, but it hasn't been as disruptive as some people feared.
