WEST FARGO, N.D. (AP) - A Fargo contractor has agreed to pay $16,800 in penalties for a construction incident that killed a worker.
Thirty-year-old Trevor Skarphol, of Fargo, died in May when a steel beam fell on him while he was working on an addition to the Sheyenne Ninth Grade Center in West Fargo.
Lee Jones & Son Construction Co. negotiated the settlement with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, which had proposed $21,000 in penalties for what the agency said were safety violations.
