The big story this Monday morning continues to be the developing storm over much of eastern North Dakota.

It extends well into northwest and west-central Minnesota and also northeastern South Dakota.

A "Winter Storm Warning" remains in effect until 6:00 Tuesday morning.

Expect snow to continue to spread from eastern North Dakota into northern Minnesota .

Snow will be heavy at times and visibilities under one half mile are possible in heavier snow bands.

The snow will continue into Monday night.

It'll be heavy at times Monday morning over northeastern North Dakota into the Devils Lake region.

KFGO forecaster Terry Spies says the worst of the storm is likely along the Highway 2 corridor.

Snow will end Monday night and Tuesday morning.

Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches are likely over a widespread area including all of eastern North Dakota into the Red River Valley and all of northwestern Minnesota.

Easterly to southeast winds at 15 to 25 mph Monday will turn northerly at 15 to 25 mph Monday night into Tuesday.

That will make for considerable drifting and some blowing snow.

Visibilities may be reduced to under one half mile in the heavier snow bands.

So, if you are traveling, make sure you are prepared for some rough winter weather.
